Tasting Notes

The 2016 Saint Joseph Meribets is terrific, with a beautiful sense of elegance and finesse in its fruit and tannins. Blackberries, plums, peppery herbs, and light mineral notes all flow to a medium-bodied, silky wine that has good acidity, tons of upfront charm, and no hard edges. It's well worth a multi-bottle purchase and will drink nicely for 5-7 years. This wine was completely destemmed and spent 10 months in used barrels.
