The 2020 Rosso di Montalcino is understated in the glass, with savory herbal nuances and notes of wild strawberry forming its slightly muted bouquet. This is silky in feel with medium-bodied weight and ripe red and hints of black fruits that settle in toward the close. Blackberries and hints of spice linger, as the 2020 finishes lightly structured and long. This needs a little more time to develop its aromatics, but is truly a nicely balanced and characterful expression of the vintage.
