Smoke, tar, licorice, dried herbs and shades of dark fruit give the 2013 Barolo Pressenda its brooding, virile personality. A wine of muscle and staying power, the 2013 is going to need at least a few years to come into its own. There is more than enough depth to the fruit to make me think the 2013 will drink well for many years to come. This is a gorgeous wine from Marziano Abbona.
