Tasting Notes
The 2012 Barolo Pressenda is absolutely beautiful. Ripe, creamy and engaging, the 2012 offers striking depth as well as freshness. Succulent red cherry and plum notes abound, while lifted, vibrant aromatics give the wine its brightness. The 2012 is not especially complex, but it is gorgeous and also a very strong effort for this up and down vintage. Because it is so well-balanced, the 2012 can be enjoyed young, but it also has enough depth to drink well for another decade plus. Silky tannins round out the finish.
