Tasting Notes
This cuvée is the best barrels from vines that were planted on their own roots in 1991. This is a midweight style and richly fruited with masses of plum fruit and cedar spice. There's a lovely build to the acidity on the finish, and the tannins are fine-grained and resolved, giving a gravelly texture across the cheeks. Moderate complexity and length. This can be enjoyed now but there's room for that fruity mass to become more savory over the next five years.
