Please don’t call it a comeback. Merlot has never left many wine drinkers’ glasses. This one has rich aromas of baked plum, black raspberry, chocolate, and cardamom. The palate has supple flavors of blackberry, star anise, and silky, grippy tannins on the finish. Pair with sautéed liver, onions, and seasonal vegetables. Best Buy.
