Tasting Notes
The 2022 Listán Negro is a new red produced with grapes purchased from local growers. It fermented with 20% full clusters in concrete and matured 60% in concrete and the rest in 500-liter barrels for 10 months. The Listán in the zone tends to show more herbal notes that are intermixed with the spicy, smoky and creamy notes from the wood (all new in 2022, the first vintage for this new range). It has some tannins that need to be polished. For winemaker Jonatan García, Listán produced like this needs three years in bottle to polish the tannins. 3,300 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2023.
