Tasting Notes
The 2019 Gigondas Jurassique is a step up and has more elegance and balance. Dark fruits, peppery herbs, leather, and assorted meatiness all emerge from the glass, and it’s medium to full-bodied on the palate, with good structure and length. It’s not massive on the mid-palate, but I like the overall balance and suspect this will fill out with 2-3 years of bottle age. The blend is 75% Grenache and 25% Syrah.
