Tasting Notes
The 2019 Phinca El Vedao is pure Garnacha from a lieu-dit ("paraje" in Spanish) that gives the wine its name, where they have two vineyards. It fermented in a 2,000-liter concrete vat and matured in 500-liter French oak barrels for 30 months. It has 14.5% alcohol, a low pH and notable acidity. It has a very balsamic nose with abundant sweet spices and aromatic herbs, exotic and aromatic. It has a medium to full-bodied palate, with polished tannins and very good balance. 2,340 bottles were filled in March 2023.
