One of the deeper hued wines in the vintage, the 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape Vignobles De La Serrière is based on 75% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 5% Mourvèdre from galets roulés and sandy safre soils, aged 18 months in older barrels and stainless steel. It offers ample blackberries, darker cherries, scorched earth, and peppery garrigue in a rich, classic, old school style. Medium to full-bodied, with a rich, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish, this effort is perfect for drinking over the coming 10-15 years. Drink 2025-2038.
