Displaying a transparent red/orange hue, the 2020 Brunello Di Montalcino Riserva is expressive and elegant on the nose, with dried strawberries, currants, dried orange, fresh leather, and pie spices. Medium-bodied, it has a relaxed, easygoing feel on the palate, with ripe tannins, more modest acidity, and a finessed finish. I like it for where it is now, and it’s best enjoyed while it holds onto its current charm. Drink 2026-2030.
