The 2013 Bolgheri Superiore Guado de' Gemoli is a plush and rich red wine with bold and opulent tones of red fruit, spice and scorched earth. The results are balanced and ripe. There is a tight bite of tannins on the close that bode well for the wine's future evolution. This blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot needs time to integrate with further bottle aging. Some 10,000 bottles are produced.
