Tasting Notes
From a mix of terroirs, mostly from the lower lieux-dits with some younger vines from Saint-Pierre, the 2023 Cornas Les Chailles was completely destemmed and aged 18 months in 228-liter oak barrels with no new oak. It's a beautiful classic Cornas with ripe black fruits, bouquet garni, and peppery, violet nuances. It's medium to full-bodied, round, supple, and undeniably delicious. Drink bottles over the coming 10-15 years. Drink 2026-2041.
