Tasting Notes
All Grenache from the sandy soils of la Crau, the 2024 Châteauneuf Du Pape Les Sables De La Crau was partially destemmed, vinified in concrete tanks, and aged in used barrels. It shows gorgeous aromatics of wild strawberry and framboise intermixed with sappy flowers, Provençal spices, and garrigue. It's medium to full-bodied, has a concentrated, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish. This perfumed, incredibly expressive 2024 has tons of character, and my money is on it being a truly brilliant wine. There are roughly 166 cases produced.
