Tasting Notes
The red blend 2022 Le Petit was produced with 90% Syrah and 10% Tintilla de Rota from vines planted in 2016 and 2015, respectively. The Syrah was less ripe, and the varieties fermented together and matured in 2,000-liter clay amphorae for six months, followed by another six months in used French oak barrels. It's ripe and comes in at 14% alcohol and with a pH of 3.55. It displays balsamic notes, hints of green olives, aromatic herbs, quite Mediterranean, a bit leafy. It's medium- to full-bodied, with some slightly dusty tannins.
