"First to see the light. First to lead.

On New Zealand’s East Coast, we’re among the first in the world to see the sun rise. Tahi, meaning “First” in te reo Māori, reflects both our place and our mindset. A land first to see the light; First to taste the inspiration of a new day; First to put quality and care before shortcuts.

Every bottle of Tahi is a reminder of where it comes from—a place defined by clarity, freshness, and early light."

About Tahi

A belief that premium wine begins with the finest of grapes, combined with a bold ambition, is what started the path to becoming an innovative wine producer.

The journey began with the first vines planted in 1975. Located on the furthest eastern point of the world, our vines are the first to see the light of each new day.

This abundant sunlight and coastal climate means that the fruit ripens earlier with rich, tropical fruit spectrum and wonderful aromatics, making them the most enjoyable New Zealand wines to drink.

For three generations, the Blampied family have persevered and built on their expert knowledge of winegrowing with an ongoing commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. Today, brothers Steven and Andrew and their dedicated team manage the viticulture, winemaking operations, and sales operations.

Today, we make wines that honor what’s important: place, family and future.
