The bottling is a homage to old-vine Zinfandel—the grapes are indeed wild things. It is concentrated, with aromas of blackberry, blueberry, florals, molasses, black pepper and toasty oak on the nose. The flavors on the palate are ripe black plum, huckleberry coulis and allspice morphing into grilled orange slice, chicory and a dry long, finish.
