Tasting Notes
The earthy 2014 Syrah is from the Trabun vineyards in Requinoa, in Cachapoal. It has a more austere character, as it was from a cooler zone, with notes of graphite and is closer to the texture of a Bordeaux than a Northern Rhône but with the aromatics of a Syrah. It's a serious red for aging in bottle. It matured in second use oak barrels for 15 months, and the oak is nicely folded into the wine. 4,600 bottles were filled in July 2015.
