A seductive blend of ripe peach, sweet smoke and exotic spice lifts from the 2020 Etna Bianco Guardoilvento with ease. This deepens with time in the glass, adding crushed stone and hints of lemon rind to the mix. Its silky textures envelope the palate with ripe orchard fruits under a tropical floral air, as saline-minerals slowly saturate, adding tension toward the close. The Guardoilvento finishes long and lightly structured with a honeyed inner sweetness, only hinting at what lies ahead. What a beauty. This is primarily Carricante with a 10% mix of Inzolia, Minnella and Catarratto.
