Tasting Notes

There were some notes of soya sauce and smoke, wild herbs and something savory in the nose of the 2018 Tinto, a Malbec-based blend with some 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and some Merlot. There is finesse and depth here, with good complexity, more than just fruit. It fermented and matured in a concrete tank for some 12 months. It has intense flavors, very floral (something I find more and more in Paraje Altamira) and fine-grained tannins, with a chalky texture. 20,000 bottles produced, which represent the largest volume in the project.
