It may be late August, but rosé season is far from over. In fact, with some of the best rosés from Provence only now hitting the U.S. market, I would argue the season to drink top-quality pink wine is just getting underway, as the wines below show.

 Label

COMMANDERIE DE LA BARGEMONE

Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence Rosé 2021

Score: 88 | $23

WS review: An expressive, friendly style, with high-toned white cherry, watermelon and bubble gum highlights. Fresh and zippy, this is grounded by notes of chalky limestone. Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now. 29,120 cases made, 20,000 cases imported.—K.B.
