Harvest 2018 – a fantastic vintage!

On Friday 28th Sept we picked the final grapes of this year’s 2018 harvest. It has been a year full of extremes. Never have we picked so early.

This year we commenced on the 22nd August with our Sauvignon Blanc, a full three weeks earlier than usual.

We have experienced record low rainfall and high temperatures, like all in Northern Europe this year, but our vines, especially our young vineyards grew strongly and are currently proving to be very aromatic. In general both the whites and the reds will have more body and the reds especially are showing intense, deep colours.  We believe 2018 will be a good vintage.
