Pic Saint Loup
Lancyre’s flagship bottling, produced from some of the oldest (60+ years old) Syrah vines in the Languedoc! Yields of 2.67 tons/acre. 65% Syrah, 35% Grenache.
The vineyard for this blend is located in Valflaunès, separating Orthus ridge from the village. The red soils were originally used by the local residents to make tiles.
Traditional wine-making methods. Total destemming, 21-day vatting with temperature control (28°C to 30°C). Pumping over, punchdown and rack-and-return according to results of tasting samples. Aged in tanks in an air-conditioned cellar.
