Vineyards are located in the mountain range of Sierra Francia in the Region of Salmanca. They range from 400m to 900m in altitude and are terraced along the top of the south facing mountains. Old Rufete vines ranging from 30 to 80 years old.

Terroir

Soils composed of slate and granite.

Vinification

The grapes are destemmed by hand and placed in a large container in order to be foot crushed. The wine starts fermentation naturally with the skins and is pressed. No forced malolactic.

Aging

Following fermentation the wine is placed in 500 L French barrels where it ages for 2 years.
