“The 2018 Barolo Ravera is the most savory and mineral-driven of the three 2018 Barolos I tasted from this report. Dried flowers, mint, crushed rocks, sage, tobacco, incense, fallen autumn leaves and pipe tobacco lend quite a bit of aromatic breadth to this deceptively mid-weight, driving Barolo. Readers who appreciate aromatic subtlety will find plenty of that here. A few years in bottle should help soften the searing tannins.”
