“The 2016 Rouge from Jeff Carrel checks in as a blend of 45% Carignan, 30% Grenache, and 25% Syrah that was manually harvested and aged in large oak casks. Its deep ruby/purple color is followed by notes of blueberries, blackberries, crushed violets and wet stone. Medium-bodied, supple and juicy, with lively acidity and a great finish, it's an elegant, balanced Roussillon to drink over the coming 4-5 years.”
