“Living up to its name, the 2016 Lilac Wine is floral and surprisingly delicate for a wine that tips the scales at 15% alcohol. A blend of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah, it sees only larger-format wood, leaving the purity of its mixed-berry and spice elements unvarnished by oak. It's a terrific bargain that should drink well for several more years.”
