“The 2011 Corbieres Cuvee de Quarante is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan that comes from higher elevation (200-500 meters), clay and limestone soils. After spending a year in used barrels and demi-muid, it offers knockout aromas of spiced raspberries, leather and licorice to go with an elegant, incredibly pure and seamless profile on the palate. Possessing superb richness, it stays light on the palate and finishes with polished tannin. Drink it over the coming 5-8 years.”
