Saint-Peray Fleur de Crussol 2019
“Rocking honeyed pineapple, caramelized peach, spice, and brioche notes all emerge from the 2019 Saint-Péray Fleur De Crussol, a rich, medium to full-bodied, concentrated Saint-Péray that develops more salinity and minerality with time in the glass. I love its overall balance, and while it's drinking great today, it has a solid decade of prime drinking ahead of it. First created in 1999 as a collaboration with sommelier Daniel Denis (of Lyon), it comes from 80-year-old vines planted in limestone soils and is aged in a mix of 228- and 400-liter barrels, 30% of which are new.”
