“Lastly, the 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape Les Sables De La Crau is all Grenache from pure sand soils that was brought up in demi-muids. It's one of the bigger wines in the lineup, yet still shows an incredible sense of purity and elegance. Ripe raspberries, kirsch liqueur, ground herbs, pepper, dried flowers, and loamy earth all define the nose, and it's full-bodied, with a layered, opulent mouthfeel, silky tannins, and a great finish. It's beautifully done and just screams of Grenache. It will evolve gracefully for 15 years.”
