“Dark bright-rimmed red. Highly perfumed red fruit and floral aromas show excellent clarity and a building mineral nuance. Sweet and seamless on the palate, offering intense raspberry and boysenberry flavors that deepen steadily as the wine opens up. On the weighty side as this bottling goes, much as is the case with its 2015 sibling, but there's no lack of vivacity here. Finishes very long and spicy, with fine-grained tannins lending shape and closing grip.”
