“The 2022 Coma Calcari is a Mediterranean Garnacha Blanca from limestone soils fermented with indigenous yeasts, with 50% of the wine in 500-liter barrels and 50% in stainless steel, where the wine matured for nine months. It's riper than the previous year, reflecting a warmer (and drier) vintage, with 14.5% alcohol. It has a showy, extroverted personality, with notes of yellow flowers and fruit, plenty of pollen and herbal tea notes, aromatic herbs and a salty/savory twist. The palate is round and lush but with refreshing chalky minerality. It's a triumph over the vintage, expressing the Mediterranean character of the year and place. 4,218 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2023.”
