“Tobacco, game, crushed flowers, smoke and dried cherries grace the 2012 Chianti Classico Riserva Poggio a'Frati. A decidely virile, imposing wine, the 2012 exudes depth that only grows with time in the glass. I would prefer to cellar the 2012 for at least another year or two, but I imagine it will always remain a big, burly wine. There is no shortage of personality here. That much is certain.”
