“Lustrous ruby with orange tinges. Brooding, concentrated nose with sweetly spiced oak, but none of that oppressive vanilla stuff. Plenty of concentration on the palate but still compact and tightly knit with chewy tannins that make themselves felt but without overpowering the fruit. Clearly needs more time to settle and should get that.”
