“The just-bottled 2017 Chento Malbec Vineyard Selection was sourced from three different plots of vines from La Consulta in the Valle de Uco. It fermented in four 10,000-liter concrete vats with indigenous yeasts, and 80% of the wine matured in oak barrels for ten months. It has a serious nose, with some varietal aromas of flowers and berries, a twist of spices and aromatic herbs and some smoke and toast from the oak. The palate reveals abundant, slightly dusty tannins and good balance. 38,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2018.”
