Ebullient aromas of blackberry coulis, crushed pepper and violet introduce this hauntingly pretty Syrah sourced from 50-year-old vines. Made from 100% destemmed fruit and aged in 15 months en barrique (10–20% new), it’s a glossy, intensely black-fruited sip wrapped in silky tannins. Irresistible in youth but should develop its more earthen, animal side as it matures through 2030. Editors’ Choice.
