Axia is an elegant, extra dry spirit distilled from the aromatic resin of the Mastiha tree, a gnarled and twisted evergreen found clutching to the hillsides of Chios, Greece.
Revered for its natural flavour and beauty, this resin has incited jealousy and warfare. It’s even been used as a snakebite anti-venom - a potent elixir from which our spirit has been inspired.
Axia keeps the unique characteristics of Mastiha, but with additional velvety flavour notes of bergamot and cypress, and a fragrant rose aroma. refreshing extra dry, Axia is the perfect replacement for vodka, tequila, and gin.

Axia takes the millennia-old rules of Mastiha-making, and artfully twists them, aligning seamlessly with the spirit of our times. Distilled from the aromatic resin of the Mastiha tree, a gnarled and twisted evergreen found clutching to the hillsides of the Aegean island Chios, Greece, Axia is a new-to world, premium, extra dry Mediterranean spirit.
Cultivated on the ‘Snake Island’ of Chios, these trees are milked for their aromatic resin, which has been coveted, traded and fought over for generations. This resin has flavoured foods, been exchanged as currency, and been valued in religious ceremonies. It was once even used to create snakebite anti-venom - a potent elixir from which Axia, with its high mastic resin content, has been inspired.

Distilling Process
In a centuries-old tradition, the sap of the mastic tree is collected by hand, dried in the wind and cleaned, over aperiod of several months. The resulting crystals are then distilled in a process that brings together artisanal hand-crafted copper stills with the science and experience of our master distiller to produce Axia.
Tasting Note
TASTE: The crisp, resinous flavour of Mediterranean cypress, with a bitter hint of fresh citrus zest. FINISH: A soothing roundness of bergamot delivering a soft and velvety mouthfeel.
