    Veuve Auguste Tailhan

    Blanc de Blancs Brut

    France, Languedoc-Roussillon

    White

    Winery Overview

Originally from one of the greatest wine-producing families of Limoux at the time, Auguste Tailhan created his own company in 1857, specializing in the production of Blanquette de Limoux. The Tailhan House was quickly noticed and rewarded at Universal Exhibitions, thus prospering until the end of the 19th century. During the First World War, Auguste Tailhan's sons Andre and Pierre died, leaving their mother, Auguste's "Widow," alone at the head of the company. With the experience she had acquired alongside her husband, she ensured the continuity of the House.
