    “Villa des Anges” is crafted by winemaker Jeff Carrel at the Espitalet des Anges domaine in Capestang. Situated on the ruins of an ancient Roman villa, the domaine is owned by Jaqueline Menard de Ginestous, who married-into and is herself from a prominent Languedocienne wine-growing family.

    From south/southeast facing vineyards in Limoux, Gaja and Villedieu. Clay/limestone terroirs.

    Vinification

    Night harvested. Vinification at controlled temperatures in concrete tanks. 20% underwent malolactic conversion.

    Aging

    Matured 5 months on the fine lees and bottled young.

    Tasting Notes

    This pure Sauvignon Blanc is bursting with aromas of citrus, fresh cut grass, green herbs and currant buds. Light in body but intense in flavor, it offers great tension and freshness on the palate.
