Charlie and Dan have known each other since childhood, and in fact, their mothers emigrated to the US together from Le Marches Italy, and lived in the same house for some time. Going their separate ways for their university years, Charlie and Dan reunited after college and came up with the idea to co-found a wine import and distribution business. They started the company from scratch, and especially in the early years, truly got their hands dirty in building the company. In recent years, the company has grown significantly, now counting more than 75 employees, with three offices, and a broad wholesale and distribution network.
These days, the two co-founders are still deeply involved with all aspects of the company’s operations. Dan spends the majority of his time in a Sales capacity (but also serves as the company’s President) while Charlie has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer, focusing on the firm’s day-to-day operations. Both Charlie and Dan sit on the firm’s Selection Committee playing critical roles in Regal’s portfolio management, adding only those products they truly believe in.
From the beginning, Charlie and Dan have believed that expert palates and the development of long-term and meaningful relationships is the key to building a successful company. They strive to maintain meaningful and mutually beneficial relationships with employees, customers, and suppliers alike.
